I am well aware that this post won't be useful for many of us. How many have enough room to not have one but TWO islands in their kitchen? Well, I don't have that much space, but what I do have is a couple of minutes for a break with a cuppa and dream about someone else's kitchen.
White chunky islands are the epitome of classic and elegance:
Below is one of my favourite kitchens designed by House of Jade Interiors. The black lamps, doors and faucets give a modern look, while the touch of timber warms up the space.
I also love this more rustic look, and the fact that the islands can be moved around in the kitchen. The fabulous, tiled floor is perfection.
The kitchen below is more industrial-like. Like the examples above, it offers plenty of storage and preparation surface.
What do you think about the two-islands trend? Like it or love it?
