In this last post of the bedroom series, I'd like to talk about the adornments possibilities besides your beautifully mixed textiles.
Sometimes, we tend to forget about filling the vertical surfaces , meaning using the walls for everything they are good for. This is particularly important if you have a small bedroom and lack of storage! In the worst case, you can end up with dull, naked walls and cluttered floors.
One solution may be having shelves and built-ins. They can be used as storage for clothes, and pretty items.
Go to flea markets or thrift stores, grab vintage frames and vintage books with prints, drawings... You can easily paint-spray the frames if needed. Rip botanical (or what ever you like) prints from vintage encyclopaedia books to frame. Or even frame pretty bags. scrapbooks sheets, accessories, old map, a colourful scarf... the list is long!
To avoid boring, naked walls, mouldings will add depth to the room:
I fed you with enough photographies to haunt your dreams for weeks!
